This Saturday, November 25, is Small Business Saturday and we encourage everyone to celebrate by shopping small. Here at the Co-op, we’re passionate about supporting our community and local entrepreneurs. You’ll find a variety of products in every department from small and locally-owned businesses.
Here are some of the amazing small businesses whose products you can find right here in our store.
Hella Leaf
“Hella Leaf is a Sacramento Local LGBTQIA+ female-owned business. We create unique succulent arrangements to help share our prickly green thumb with all of Sacramento. Our motto “Anything can be a pot” is our way of helping our world by recycling and reusing unique items and turning them into beautiful art you can keep & love forever. My biggest goal as a small business owner is to educate and help others grow their own green thumb! You can find us every Saturday at the Midtown Farmers Market with our Succulent Bar and many more unique arrangements.”

UKRFood Now
UkrFood Now focuses on authentic recipes and fresh, locally-sourced ingredients for their Varenyky which are now available in our frozen section. Varenyky are a traditional Ukrainian food made from fresh dough. They're kind of like dumplings or ravioli, but Ukrainian-style!

Berry & Thyme
Erin, the owner of Berry & Thyme, was born and raised in Northern California and makes her specialty jams right here in Sacramento. You may recognize Berry & Thyme from the Midtown Farmers Market or from their collaborations with our friends at Temple Coffee.
All of her jams feature simple, delicious ingredients without any artificial preservatives, commercial pectin or thickeners. We have a variety of seasonal flavors available in Aisle 1 including Guava & Basil, Papaya & Vanilla and Pineapple & Habanero.

Brown Rice Bakery is a Sacramento-based bakery that specializes in gluten-free and vegan baked goods made with high-quality ingredients.
They are committed to growing and supporting community, promoting health (in many different ways), practicing sustainability and creating radical JOY through food.

Sunkissed and Co. is a Sacramento-based sustainable fragrance brand for people with scent sensitivities. Owner Kimberly started her business after she and her family struggled to find high-quality fragrance products that were neither overpowering nor underwhelming.

Guinevere's Candles is a woman-owned small business located on the picturesque coast of Northern California that has been crafting candles with all-natural ingredients for over 30 years. These beautiful flower candles are made with a All Natural Soy & Beeswax Blend and are lightly scented.

Sugar Plum Vegan has been providing Northern California delightful vegan baked goods since 2009. The owner, Melissa Sugar, began her bakeress adventure as a young girl in her grandmother's Ukrainian kitchen in Philadelphia. We carry a variety of their baked goods including whoopie pies, cookies, cakes, granola bars and pies!
