    Ingredients

    • 4 cups fresh or frozen green beans, if fresh cut into 2-inch pieces
    • Your favorite Broth (for simmering the beans)
    • 1 can Pacific Cream of Mushroom soup
    • 1/2 cup milk
    • 1/4 – 1/2 cup cheddar cheese (optional for a creamier texture)
    • 1 (or 2) tubs Lar’s Own Crispy Fried Onions
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
    • 1/4 teaspoon pepper (or to taste)
    • additional seasonings to taste

    Cooking Instructions

    1

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

    2

Heat your broth in a pan large enough for your green beans. Simmer fresh beans 7-8 minutes, or frozen beans for 4-5 minutes. If you are using canned beans, there is no need to simmer them first, just drain them.

    3

In a large bowl, combine the beans with the soup, milk of choice and extra cheese if using. Season with salt and pepper and add any additional seasoning to your liking (seasoning salts, herb mix, fried garlic or shallots, onion or garlic powder). Add 1/2 of the crispy fried onions and stir to combine. Pour into a baking dish that has a light coating of oil and bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes or until bubbly. Top with the remaning crispy onions and bake for another ten minutes until golden brown.

To make it ahead of time, prepare everything and get it into your baking dish. Cover tightly and store in the refrigerator for 24-48 hours. Let it sit out for 30-60 minutes before baking and make sure it is bubbling before adding the last layer of onions.
