Hands-On Cooking Class: Spanish Tapas

This hands-on class will be inspired by Chef Jennifer’s recent trip to Spain! She’ll share history, tips and techniques that she has learned. You will make authentic tapas starting with gambas al ajillo (shrimp in garlic and wine), chistorra a la sidra (Spanish chorizo in cider) and stuffed piquillo peppers. When you come to class we will have marcona almonds and olives for you to snack on. Glasses of Spanish wine will be available for purchase.

Instructor: Chef Jennifer Romero of Hooked On Paella

About the Instructor: Chef Jennifer is passionate about paella. She has taken paella classes from master Chefs in Valencia, Spain where paella originated. She graduated from the American River College’s prestigious Culinary Arts and Hospitality & Restaurant Management program and is the owner of Hooked on Paella, a catering company that specializes in creating paellas with fresh, locally sourced ingredients in the greater Sacramento region.
