Instructions
  1. The night before you would like to cook your cereal, toast 1 c. of the cereal mix on medium high heat in the melted butter or oil, stirring frequently. The grains will get quite toasted and the smell will fill your kitchen. Add the salt, remove from heat and add the water. Cover and soak overnight.
  2. In the morning, heat the cereal over medium high heat and simmer for about 10 minutes, until the grains are tender. Add any spices you like. Cook longer if you like a thicker cereal.
  3. When cereal is done cooking, add sweetener and your favorite toppings and enjoy!
