Slow Cooker Applesauce

Ingredients
- 6 lbs (about 10 medium) firm, crisp apples
- 1/2 vanilla bean, halved and seeds scraped
- 1 t. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
- 2 c. apple cider (or water)
Cooking Instructions

Core and slice the apples. Place them in the crock of a slow cooker with the remaining ingredients.

Cook on high for 4-6 hours, stirring occasionally until the apples are soft with just a few chunks remaining.
